How to unlock your Android smartphone if it gets locked

You often use some sort of screen lock on our Android smartphone such as PIN, Password or Pattern to protect data or prevent any unauthorised access. Experts always recommend to use a complex password or pattern to make it hard to guess by anyone else. But, sometimes a complex password also becomes hard to remember as we may forget them easily. Method 1: Using Android Device Manager

Open ‘https://myaccount.google.com/find-your-phone-guide on your PC or phone

2.

Now, login into your Google Account linked to your phone

3.

Once logged in, select your device you want to unlock from the list

4.

At the next screen, select the option ‘Lock your phone’

5.

Now, enter a new password to replace your old PIN, pattern or password on your phone

6.

Click on ‘Lock’ button at the bottom

7.

Head to your smartphone and use your new password to unlock and set an all-new screen lock

Method 2: Using ‘Ok Google’ voice match

If you have properly set up your Google Assistant, you must have noticed the option ‘Unlock with voice’. This features works on the basis of your pre-recorded voice. If this feature is turned on, you can simply say ‘Ok Google’ to unlock your smartphone.

Method 3: For Samsung users
If you are using a Samsung smartphone synced with your Samsung Account, follow these steps:

Open ‘https://findmymobile.samsung.com/’ and login using ID and password

2.

Select the option ‘Unlock’ and confirm your account password to unlock your smartphone
