Available for Canon Medical and multi-vendor service customers with a service plan, Clinsights produces dashboards and reports from across facilities that capture vital information such as analyses and tracking of physician performance, physician referral, and exam scheduling. Dose analytics include monitoring and tracking dose compliance and even benchmarks against other organizations. For the healthcare administration executive team, all this information is presented in a consolidated executive dashboard for review and action. The innovative product uses AI modeling to generate proactive maintenance alerts, so customers can stay one step ahead.
Storm ID and Israeli AI start-up Zebra Medical Vision have won a UK-Israel research and development competition with a proposal for a revolutionary, machine learning-driven model for early detection and prevention of osteoporosis to improve patient care and reduce healthcare costs. The collaboration will involve close engagement with clinical teams in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and Assuta Medical Centers. Working in partnership, Storm ID and Zebra Medical Vision are developing a preventative care solution to identify people at risk of osteoporosis. Using ML/AI methodologies, the solution will analyze medical imaging data and patient records to help clinical teams identify and treat people with risk of fractures before they happen.
BioNTech SE and InstaDeep today announced a multi-year strategic collaboration aimed at applying the latest advances in AI and ML technology to develop novel immunotherapies for a range of cancers and infectious diseases. As part of the collaboration, BioNTech and InstaDeep will form a joint AI Innovation Lab in London, UK, and Mainz, Germany, to advance a portfolio of initiatives across drug discovery and design, protein engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain optimization. The AI Innovation Lab will combine InstaDeep’s advanced capabilities in the areas of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and digitalization, along with BioNTech’s deep domain expertise in precision immunotherapies and its access to a wide variety of internal and external datasets. One of the key research areas of the BioNTech-InstaDeep joint Innovation Lab will be the development of next-generation vaccines and biopharmaceuticals for the treatment of cancer and prevention and therapy of infectious diseases, including COVID-19.
GE Healthcare today announced a new artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm to help clinicians assess Endotracheal Tube (ETT) placements, a necessary and important step when ventilating critically ill COVID-19 patients. The AI solution is one of five included in GE Healthcare’s Critical Care Suite 2.0, an industry-first collection of AI algorithms embedded on a mobile x-ray device for automated measurements, case prioritization, and quality control. To make the AI suite more accessible, Critical Care Suite 2.0 is embedded on a mobile x-ray device – offering hospitals an opportunity to try AI without making investments into additional IT infrastructure, security assessments, or cybersecurity precautions for routing images offsite. Clinicians can test the Critical Care Suite 2.0 algorithms by uploading their own chest x-ray images to gexray.ai.

DXC Technology announced a new relationship with Infinia ML to further advance machine learning and data analytics to help customers manage and drive stronger performance and value from their IT estates. DXC will utilize Infinia ML machine learning capabilities across its Enterprise Technology Stack to automate document processing, boost performance of mission-critical IT systems, guide enterprise decision making, and enhance customer service/support. In addition, Infinia ML will audit artificial intelligence (AI) systems to ensure they perform at the highest level. Together, Infinia ML will strengthen DXC’s ability to support customers with sophisticated end-to-end machine learning solutions such as natural language processing, object detection, and behavior prediction across the businesses.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced the general availability of Amazon Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow (MWAA), a managed service that helps data engineers execute data processing workflows in the cloud. With Amazon MWAA, businesses can use the Airflow platform as they do today to manage their workflows and improve scalability, availability, and security without having to build, scale, and manage the underlying infrastructure. Amazon MWAA scales workflow execution capacity based on a company’s needs and integrates with AWS security services to provide secure access to customers’ data. There are no up-front investments required to use Amazon MWAA, and customers only pay for what they use.
Tencent Cloud announced the introduction of AI Transfy, a highly efficient speech recognition and automatic subtitle generation solution to international customers. Offering a speech recognition accuracy rate of 96.3 percent, especially for Chinese and English, Tencent Cloud’s AI Transfy will deliver more information value for conferencing and subtitling to help businesses improve efficiency and reduce operational costs. AI Transfy can be used as a subtitling solution for a wide range of use cases such as audio/video transcription and translation, livestream subtitling, multilingual subtitling, automatic timeline segmenting, subtitle design, and video compression. The solution can fulfill businesses’ diverse needs under different settings, such as online education, conferences, broadcast entertainment, livestreaming, and news interviews.
Fujitsu Laboratories and LARUS Business Automation S.r.l. (LARUS) have jointly verified that credit card payment fraud can be detected with high accuracy by integrating Deep Tensor, an explainable graph AI technology developed by Fujitsu Laboratories into the LARUS platform for graph databases. Fujitsu and LARUS achieved this by linking the LARUS platform for graph databases with Fujitsu’s graph AI technology. Compared with previous rule-based approaches created manually by data analysts, the fraud detection rate improved from 72% to 89%, while the false detection rate was successfully reduced by 63%. Additionally, it was confirmed that the creation of rules for fraud detection could be supported by presenting the decision factors of fraud cases detected with graph AI technology. Going forward, both companies will verify the effectiveness of this technology in other industries with the objective of delivering practical uses for graph databases and graph AI.
