WhatsApp Dark mode has become one of the most awaited as well as anticipated features of the Facebook-owned app and while the Dark mode has been in the news for quite some time, a new development might have given us a glimpse at the WhatsApp Dark mode feature which is slated to roll out for both Android and iOS. For the unknown, WhatsApp has now become the most popular instant messaging app in the world and while the platform has received some major upgrades in the recent past, the WhatsApp Dark mode feature is expected to further improve the user experience.
Dark Mode reverses the white background to black which can be more comforting to eyes and while it will be helpful in using the app under low light conditions, the Dark mode will also help in increasing the battery life on smartphones. It should also be noted that Google has earlier admitted that Dark Mode feature draws about 43% lesser power when the device is set to full brightness and apps such as YouTube and Google Maps have already received the dark mode upgrade. Moreover, the Dark Mode is also a key feature in the new Android 9.0 Pie OS.
Coming back to the WhatsApp Dark mode, WABetainfo has just shared a screenshot of how Dark mode will look like on WhatsApp and while it is a concept image, this could be our first glimpse at the Dark mode feature coming to WhatsApp for Android and iOS. Some of the popular apps which have already received the Dark Mode feature includes YouTube, Google Maps, Twitter while the feature is expected to rollout out on Instagram and WhatsApp soon.
Meanwhile, when it comes to all the upcoming WhatsApp features, the list includes WhatsApp Fingerprint Lock feature for better security, New Audio Picker, Stickers Integration with Gboard, 3D Touch action for Status, private reply and more.
